Generally, keder refers to the tent keder used for frame tents and the slats for advertising fabric. It’s a modern connection solution for tents and advertising fabrics, a ready fabricated product, ready cut and welded, used to connect the tent fabric and frame. It’s a perfect connection solution for textiles and metal, featuring lightweight, flexibility, bend resistance, high strength, waterproofing, and suitability for repeated disassembly and reuse. It consists of two parts: PVC fabric and cord. PVC fabric is a technical textile with PVC coated on a polyester base, offering high strength and a long lifespan. The PVC fabric used for the slats is mostly single-sided coated, allowing it to bond with the cord during the slat manufacturing process. Since the cord is generally also PVC, the same material allows the cord and PVC fabric to be welded and fused together, preventing cord movement during tent fabric installation and disassembly. The uncoated side of the fabric contacts the rails. Polyester fabric provides higher strength and doesn’t stick, facilitating smoother sliding within the rails and easy disassembly.
